But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce them under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.
Declaration of Independence
THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is not a monarchy. The country's birth certificate—the Declaration of Independence—makes that clear, as does the Constitution. (Article I, Section 9, Clause 8 & Section 10)
On September 17, 1787, as Benjamin Franklin and James McHenry left on the final day of the Federal Convention, they were approached by Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia.
“Well, Doctor, what have we got—a republic or a monarchy?”
“A republic,” Franklin replied, “if you can keep it.”
“WE" is the first word in the Constitution. The only time “I” appears is in the oath. The “I” acts on behalf of the “WE.”
The gentleman from New York thinks otherwise, as his words confirm. “I have an Article II, where I have the right to do whatever I want....” Checks? “Yeah, there is one thing. My own morality, my own mind. It's the only thing that can stop me.” Balances? “I'm not thinking about search warrants.” And his deeds are the exclamation point.
The gentleman from New York, who frequents the golf course more than he reads the daily briefing, reminds one of all the good qualities of Benedict Arnold, of which he has none. The Battle of Capitol Hill, on January 6, 2021, was a blatant act of insurrection in plain sight. But unlike Mr. Bone Spurs, whose middle name is Treachery, at least Benedict Arnold was an example of faithful service during the Revolutionary War, until, as George Washington said, “Treason of the blackest dye was yesterday discovered!”
MAGA means Monarchy's America's Government Again. Yet there is no need for a coronation because he is the reincarnation of King George III. His first deed was the abuse of the pardon power to create lords and ladies loyal to him. Thus, the monarch described in 1776 matches His Fraudulency: “A prince, whose character is thus marked by every act which may define a tyrant, is unfit to be the ruler of a free people.” (Declaration of Independence)
O loyal opposition, the end of deference is overdue. Do not refer to the gentleman from New York by any title. Mr. Affirmative Action will do. Now counterattack. Choose the battlefield. Do not fight on his terms. In response to questions by the press, address his illegitimacy first and talk about the constitutional remedy—before answering them, and refer to the discharge petition to bring it to the floor of the House of Representatives.
Whereas the oath is the most important part of the Constitution and Section 3 of the Fourteenth Amendment made explicit what was implicit and provides a method of enforcement:
We, therefore, the Senators and Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress, assembled, appealing to the Supreme Judge of world for the rectitude of our intentions, do, in the name and by authority of the good people of this nation, solemnly publish and declare, that they are absolved from allegiance to the gentleman from New York, that all political connection between them is and ought to be totally dissolved; and that he cannot hold office unless “Congress...by a two-thirds vote of each House, remove such disability.”
And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.
This is a matter of national security. The oath is not so many words to mumble. “So help me God” is a lifetime commitment, a line in the sand. We stand at Lexington and Concord. Will the real Americans fire another shot heard 'round the world?
